Running in Traffic is a study of two people, Kayla and Cullen, at a time in their lives when grief and loss is trying to invade. It a universal story of the interconnectivity of people, and our collective responsibility for each other told through the experiences of these two people.
"Some people just don't realize we have a responsibility to each other, to help each other in a way we may never know the truth about"
This emotional and unpredictable journey is set against a backdrop of a Scottish Christmas, with the ever-present twinkling lights and sense of happiness and celebration this time of year evokes, starkly contrasting with the inner turmoil our characters are experiencing.

Jigsaw Productions were delighted that their short film the man on the side of the road was selected in official line up for the 2008 Palm Springs International Short Film Festival. Suzanne and Dale represented the film at the festival where it was voted an AUDIENCE FAVORITE. It was a very productive time with a lot of new contacts made, with new and existing projects discussed and developed. The trip to Palm Springs was supported by Scottish Screen Markets and Festivals Fund - thanks guys
challenges the perception of reality in a direct and often unsettling way. Its erratic and non-sequential chronology reinforces the emotional psychology of Russ, and his inability to focus when under intense interrogation. The extreme expansiveness and stillness of the deserted country road magnifies the claustrophobia of the small, fluorescent-lit interrogation room while the ever-present and fore-boding musical score builds in tempo throughout, at times startling us and at other times luring us into a false sense of security, building to a dramatic and unforgettable climax. unfold on the same hot, humid night around the one harbour. On one side of the harbour is, Debbie, alone is her single womanís one room castle while on the other, Nina, is feeling isolated in her expansive modern style apartment. Between them on the waterfront is a group of four teenage men, young, drunk and invincible.
This dramatic short film builds to an unforgettable and shocking conclusion that will leave both groups unequivocally changed.
